About
I'm Jack Ivison. I've worked in SEO since 2018, and I still enjoy it most when there's a proper test to run.
What I do
Most of my career has been agency SEO: audits, site migrations, keyword research, content, tracking and reporting. The clients have ranged from local trades to a building society, a drug discovery company, a law firm and an auction house.
Today I'm an SEO at Be Visible, a search and digital PR agency, where I was the first hire. Before that I was at The SEO Works.
I also run Electrician SEO Pro, which does SEO for electricians and nothing else. It has been featured in Business Insider.
How I work
Evidence first. When I test something, I write down what changed, when, and what else changed at the same time, so the result can be checked rather than taken on trust. I'd rather publish a small result I can prove than a big one I can't.
I use AI a lot, mostly for the repetitive parts of the job, with the checks written down and every claim traced back to a source.
Outside work
Fantasy Premier League, taken more seriously than it should be.
